OBJECTIVES OF IOM INTERNATIONAL:
1. Express the love of God in word, sign and deed to needy persons in developing countries regardless of age, gender, ethnic background, religion or political beliefs through proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the provision of emergency relief, community development initiatives, primary health awareness, education and schooling opportunities.
2. Partner with Christians in developing countries to train, equip and empower men and women in a way that will produce personal and community transformation and the planting and strengthening of culturally relevant meeting groups. Such activity will be characterised by Christian servant hood, localisation and empowerment offering responsibility and leadership to local people and avoiding the creation of long term dependency.
3. Collaborate with Christians, local churches and other representative groups to inform, empower and mobilise people to make a Biblically-shaped response to the needs of adults, children and communities in developing countries.
4. Facilitate prayer and quality pastoral care for staff and volunteers in developing countries who are being supported by the ministries of IOM International Incorporated.
5. Enter into strategic partnerships with Christian groups, including churches, educational institutions, Christian missionary and development agencies and other community based organisations which have similar objects. Such partnerships will operate in an ethical and professional manner and will be characterised by mutual respect, trust and accountability.
